What is AMOS?

The Ancient Mystic Order of Samaritans (AMOS) was founded in 1901 as a social and charitable organization by and for members of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. For more than one hundred years, members of AMOS have been enjoying the humorous side of the fraternity and serving their local communities.

What do you do?

How can I join?

We have fun, of course! AMOS members work hard in their communities and their Lodges, doing the serious work or raising money for worthy causes and donating their time to worthwhile projects. AMOS provides a place to sit back and have fun, whether that be at BBQ’s, trips, outings, or just at a regular old meeting. Every AMOS event is designed to be enjoyable, from start to finish!

AMOS is also proud to assist charitable organizations through the Samaritan Acts Program, which accepts donations from members and friends and gives them to appropriate causes.

We love welcoming new members! To join AMOS, one must be a male member of an Odd Fellows lodge.

Not an Odd Fellow? That’s okay! There are hundreds of Lodges across the country and it’s easy to join!

If you are an Odd Fellow already, then you’re well on your way to becoming a Samaritan! Check out our membership page for more information on how you can join one of the most fun fraternal groups in existence today!
